Our Story
Here we share our story as a timeline - from the development of the CAS framework in Yorkshire to the development of a programme that supports localities to use CAS their way based on their context and their schools.
June 2019
CAS framework developed by 50 stakeholders from research, education, public health and active partnerships
September 2019 - July 2020
CAS framework piloted with Bradford schools as part of JU:MP (Sport England Local Delivery Pilot)
January 2020
Pilot national community of practice for CAS launched by Yorkshire Sport Foundation
September 2020 to July 2021
CAS Framework developed into a programme for schools, trialling profiling, planning and CPD within Bradford.
September 2021
Launch of CAS online profiling tool
National community of practice formalised with 18 Active partnerships signing up
January 2022
Partnership with Leeds Beckett University and Association for Physical Education to develop online CPD modules for CAS programme
May 2022
DfE visit to showcase CAS impact to date in Bradford.
September 2022
Online CPD modules made available for CAS schools to trial
